Ingredients

Main
  • 2 salmon fillets about 6 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish optional but classy

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  4. Pour the marinade evenly over the salmon and rub it in to coat the fillets.
  5. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven and transfer to plates.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the salmon to keep it moist. Use fresh salmon for best results, though thawed frozen salmon can also work. For extra crisp skin, broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
