Ingredients
Method
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, for 6 to 8 minutes until fully browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and add the tomato paste to the skillet. Pour in 1/2 cup water. Stir everything together and let simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens and coats the meat evenly.
- Warm the tortillas in a clean skillet for 30 seconds on each side, or microwave wrapped in a paper towel for 15 seconds until soft.
- Spoon seasoned beef into the warm tortillas. Top with chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and sliced avocado. Add hot sauce, lime wedges, and cilantro if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your tacos hot.
Notes
Leftover beef can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave before serving.
