Ingredients

Main
  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • Fresh parsley or dill optional for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle the fillets with olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over the top of the fillets.
  6. Rub the seasonings gently into the salmon. Place a lemon slice or two on each fillet.
  7. Bake the salmon fillets for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and remains juicy.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

If using frozen salmon, thaw it completely before baking for best results. Serve with roasted potatoes, steamed green beans, rice, or salad for a complete meal. Leftover salmon can be stored in the fridge for up to two days and reheated using a skillet or oven.
