Ingredients

Main
  • 4 salmon fillets about six ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or parsley optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and the center is opaque and light pink.
  7. Sprinkle chopped fresh dill or parsley on top before serving, if using.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon fillets. Avoid overcooking by checking the salmon at 12 minutes and removing it from the oven as soon as it flakes easily with a fork. Thaw frozen salmon completely before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat gently to keep the texture tender.
