- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, and salt until smooth.
- Place the unbaked pie crust in a pie dish if not already in one.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake the pie at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Remove pie from oven and let cool on a rack for at least two hours before serving.
- Slice and serve with whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For the best results, use plain pumpkin puree and avoid using pre-sweetened pumpkin pie filling. Let the pie cool completely to ensure a smooth texture. This pie can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
