As we explore the subject of masks, we find that the Bible encourages us to look beyond what is merely on the surface. Sometimes, masks represent how we may hide away our true identity, but God sees and knows who we genuinely are. He looks at our hearts, beyond anything that can be masked. In realizing this, we can find freedom in showing our true selves to God and to others. We don’t have to pretend to be someone we are not, as God accepts us just as we are. His love does not depend on our outward appearances or the masks we put on.
